The story is told through the eyes of a young Jewish refugee whose father worked closely with Sempo Sugihara. In a world of lessons unlearned, violence, and hatred, this is the wonderful story of a selfless man with a passion for humanity. This book celebrates the great miracle of life itself.

O autoru

Yutaka Taniuchi was born in Osaka, Japan in March 30, 1934. He began a writing career after graduating from the Osaka City University, Department of Commercial Science in 1957. The author has been active in writing for the theater for many years. His many works (translations of Japanese titles) include The Innocent Prisoner, Three Monkeys, Late Spring, Three Moles, and The King and the Beggar.
