I must confess I have not read a book for over 7 years and have only read 3 books in my 20 years (was not a great reader). Then 4 weeks ago i get a voucher giving me money off a book on google, so I looked for a book and thought this looked like a good start, I am so happy I did this as I can now say I've read 7 books, 4 of them being this month, I couldn't stop reading and will be reading prequels asap. Amazingly done thanks 10/10

I've just finished the quartet and I'm almost speechless, having shared the lives, loves and fabulous adventures of the vibrant characters in the Mortal Engines world. If the film captures even a fraction of the pace, imagination, and stark beauty of these books, then it'll be a visual delight. Thank you for keeping me captivated and entertained, and I'm off now to buy the prequels!

Wonderful series. Hard to put down once you start. The author manages to convey both the destructive, dark nature of humanity and the positive, creative potential we all could aspire to.
