Is a willful little darling driving you to distraction?

The New Strong-Willed Child is the resource you need―a classic bestseller completely rewritten, updated, and expanded for a new generation of parents and teachers seeking guidance on dealing with kids’ difficult behavior.

Find out what Dr. James Dobson, author of Bringing Up Boys and today’s most trusted authority on parenting, has to say about:
  • What makes strong-willed children the way they are
  • Shaping the will while protecting the spirit
  • Avoiding the most common parenting mistake
  • Setting boundaries with the defiant child
  • Strong-willed children and ADHD
If you are struggling to raise and teach children and teens who are convinced they should be able to live by their own rules, The New Strong-Willed Child is a must-read! This new edition is part of Dr. James Dobson’s Building A Family Legacy initiative, designed to help you overcome common frustrations and create peace in your home.

Challenging as they are to raise, strong-willed children can grow up to be men and women of strong character―if lovingly guided with understanding and the right kind of discipline.

Worst parenting book ever published! This man's writings should be pulled off the shelves. His advice leaves parents childless and possibly convicted; and children frightened wards of the court. A manual for child abuse. Following the author's advice will have the authorities at your door and your children taken from you and placed in the foster care system. You will end up enduring countless court appearances and paying endless attorney's fees in a fruitless attempt to clear your name and free your children from the hellish system that will ultimately cause irreparable emotional and psychological damage to both parent and child. Following the author's advice destroyed my marriage, my family and not only my life but my children's lives as well.

My son has been strong willed since he was in the womb. Ive read negative comments from others about this book, and all I can think is they must not have a true strong willed child. Yes, some children deliberately do things to make their parents mad. My son has even told me as much. I was starting to think I was a bad parent. I was embarrassed to bring my child anywhere. Within 2 weeks of reading this book, my entire household has changed for the better. Thank you so much.

Mr. Dobson has a common sense approach to dealing with children, with love and borders of behaviour.
