4.25stars-THE PARTY IS OVER is the eighth instalment in Lisa Renee Jones’ contemporary, adult LILAH LOVE romantic suspense series focusing on foul-mouthed, aggressive, contentious and prickly FBI agent Lilah Love-Mendez, and her husband, businessman /Cartel heir Kane Mendez. The fast paced and thought-provoking premise is captivating and gripping; the characters are enterprising and energetic. THE PARTY IS OVER ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

Lilah's own internal struggles are ignited by the latest killing, showing us a side of her we rarely are given a peek at. This is a fast read yet hits on all the issues that have been laid out from the first books and have yet to be resolved. Kane’s point of view at the end of the book, and the situation he finds himself in, leaves us with a whopping cliffhanger although this killer and the mystery surrounding him is wrapped up.
