About the author

Richard is the author of the global best-selling Phoenix Conspiracy series. He began publishing in 2011 as a countermeasure to boredom in law school. He graduated from the University of Utah in 2011 in Economics and the J. Reuben Clark Law School in 2014 and has practiced law since 2015 as a family law specialist. He prefers family law because, in his words, "family law is one of the few intersections between legal practice and things that actually matter." Richard is an outspoken critic of the legal system for lacking transparency and accountability. In 2019, Richard founded Black Ocean Books, LLC, through which he's announced several new releases slated for 2020. In his free time, Richard loves all things outdoors (all seasons of the year), chess, singing, swimming almost every day, and laughing as much as possible. He loves animals, especially his dog Bentley and cat Mia. More information is available at his company website ( www.blackoceanbooks.com ).
