She appeared in countless other films, including Shampoo and When Harry Met Sally, and wrote four bestselling novels: Surrender the Pink, Delusions of Grandma, The Best Awful and Postcards from the Edge, as well as the memoirs Shockaholic and Wishful Drinking.
