About this eBook

'How much do I beat myself up about the fact that he's my son? A lot.'

On 14 December 2012, twenty-year-old Adam Lanza shot his mother dead, then drove to Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, opened fire and killed twenty children and six adults. No motive has ever been uncovered.

Adam Lanza's father is still searching for answers and in this moving interview Andrew Solomon tells his story.

This ebook also includes a chapter on children who commit crime from Solomon's Wellcome Trust Book Prize-winning book, Far from the Tree: Parents, children and the search for identity. ('A book everyone should read' Julie Myerson; 'Extraordinary, moving' Spectator)

So very sad, even for the one who killed 27 other human beings. The US prides itself on the right to bear arms, but really, how many guns or bullets are enough? Do you really need machine guns that have more capacity for killing than those used by the army? US citizens have been brainwashed by gun companies who only want to sell thier products at all costs, even over the graves of babies. You scream when anyone mentions gun control even as the bodies mount up - yet scream even louder against a womans right to decide on an abortion. You all need to look at where the real problems lie & do something constructive to prevent it happening again. Idea for you; if you wont limit gun ownership how abount limiting bullets? Make the ownership of them limited & expensive? a national register of the purchasing of them after all guns useless without bullets? The only use for guns is shooting, a lethal force in any hand, but more in the hands of mentally ill & those wanting infamy. RIP to ALL.
