About this eBook

The first title in the number one bestselling CHERUB series! James hits rock bottom before he's offered a new start in an intriguing organisation ...

A terrorist doesn't let strangers in her flat because they might be undercover police or intelligence agents, but her children bring their mates home and they run all over the place. The terrorist doesn't know that one of these kids has bugged every room in her house, made copies of all her computer files and stolen her address book. The kid works for CHERUB.

CHERUB agents are aged between ten and seventeen. They live in the real world, slipping under adult radar and getting information that sends criminals and terrorists to jail.

For official purposes, these children do not exist.

Praise for the CHERUB series:
'Punchy, exciting, glamorous and, what's more, you'll completely wish it was true' - Sunday Express
'Crackling tension and high-octane drama' - Daily Mail
'A really good book that you could re-read over and over again' - Guardian

This is a series I believe every teenager should read! This was one of the best series I have ever read to date. It was so immersive, it really gave you the experience of a teenage boy put in such a situation. The wide range of characters that youre introduced to are also something to look forward to. The authors ability to make you care for so many characters, while keeping each one unique in their own way is something worth praising. I strongly recommend, this book can in my opinion appeal to almost any demographic, both young and old

Ive read all of the first series of cherub books. The recruit- shadow wave. Ive decided to review this one because its the first book and everyone who wants to start a new book, new series, cherub is the one for you. Robert invites readers into james's story throughout the series and he invites you with all the near death experience and whatever clishes might happen, just read this book and shortly you will move onto the next one and next one until you reach number 14! Its a must try for sure

If you are torn between the recruit and something elsewhere, I suggest you buy The Recruit! It seems perhaps very boyish, and there is a substantial amount of teenage boy humour as the series progresses (*eyeroll*) but that just makes it all the more realistic and as a 16yo girl I love CHERUB! Don't hesitate, this author knows what hes doing :)
