As uncomfortable as Alice Hoffman's stories make me, I can't seem to put her books down. The Red Garden was no exception. A story about the first settlers of a town in Massachusettes and their several generations of descendants. Some of the stories passed down from generation to generation are strange, creepy and disturbing but this book is riveting. I highly recommend.
