About this eBook

A Dom with trust issues and a submissive pretending to be something she's not... what could possibly go wrong?

After years of reading but never doing, Angel is finally ready to explore her fantasies in real life. The only problem? She'll have to learn the ropes at Chained, a local BDSM club, all alone. Adopting a false Domme persona, she dips her toes into the water of BDSM and sets her sights on eventually taking the plunge at yet another club, Stronghold, as a submissive. But there's an unexpected complication: on the very first night of her experiment, she finds herself irresistibly attracted to one of the true Doms.

Master Adam's looking for a submissive, not another dominant. When his path crosses with an unfamiliar face at Chained, he's immediately intrigued, but ultimately disappointed when she introduces herself as 'Mistress'. It's a perfectly ordinary encounter, but days later Adam still can't get the beguiling woman out of his head.

When the two reconnect at Stronghold without any pretense, their first scene together is nothing less than explosive.

This book contains steamy hot scenes, so only enter the club if you're ready to play.

The Sassy Sub is the beginning of a spin-off series from G. Angel's "Venus Rising Quartet." It is not necessary to read the Quartet in order to enjoy Stronghold. The Sassy Sub is a standalone book.

70% of this book is the 2 main characters lack of communication. they both want each other but don't vocalize it. I understand why Adam was mad for Angel lying but he should have talked to her instead of being in his head all the time. once they finally started to communicate, the book got better.

There was some good action but several times I felt that the book was building up to a crescendo that never happened. I almost stopped reading at the first typo. There were at least two more spelling/gramatical errors after that. I'm glad this book was free. It almost made me want to continue reading the rest of the story but I cannot buy a book that has not been well proofed.

I really enjoyed this book. It started out slow, then I couldn't stop reading it. Didn't want to put it down. I loved how Adam's friends accepted Angel and that they all became a family of sorts.

About the author

Golden Angel is a USA Today best-selling author and self-described bibliophile with a "kinky" bent who loves to write stories for the characters in her head. If she didn't get them out, she's pretty sure she'd go just a little crazy.

She is happily married, old enough to know better but still too young to care, and a big fan of happily-ever-afters, strong heroes and heroines, and sizzling chemistry.

She believes the world is a better place when there's a little magic in it.
