When I long for an adventure in a deserted place, I will grab this book and soak into it. I have read this book since I was 8 years old. I have read it hundreds of times but never got tired of it. How lovely the Island is, how great getting things and odds done, fishing, cooking, what a great life... Wish I could have an adventure of some sort on day...

I had read the story in Nandan(a monthly published Hindi magazine for kids) almost 10 years ago and had fallen in love with it instantly! Reading the full book now as an adult makes it a whole new experience. Loved it thoroughly. Loved every single chapter.

I read this book hundreds of times as a child so I decided to buy it to read to my 6yr old. It's just as magical reading it as an adult!
About the author
Enid Blyton is one of the worlds' best-loved storytellers. Her books have sold over 500 million copies and have been translated into more languages more often than any other children's author. She wrote over 700 books and 2,000 short stories, including favourites such as The Famous Five, The Secret Seven, The Magic Faraway Tree and Malory Towers. Born in London in 1897, Enid lived much of her life in Buckinghamshire and adored dogs, gardening and the countryside. She died in 1968 but remains one of the world's best-loved storytellers.
