As well written as Leslie's other books but needs a bit more work on the story and the characters. Leslie North transports us yet again to a sheikdom in the Middle East. This time I found myself getting irritated by the selfish, childish male character and the transformation of the female character from a strong, independent woman, to a whimpering, needy one as soon as she is near the man. Sorry, but this one was a disappointment. Here was an opportunity to write a novella about a strong enough woman, who keeps her strength and independence, and makes a man change his whole life - but instead it's a book from the same mold as the other ones.
