Über dieses E-Book

Valerie is on vacation after a messy divorce leads to a breakdown at work, and despite the warnings of wolves around the upstate New York lake she's visiting, she's determined to relax. Her vacation turns more stressful than her life when she happens upon a man with his throat ripped out, and a young man stumbling away from the scene with an arrow in his side. The young man's handsome features and desperate need overcome her New York City don't-get-involved sense, and she soon finds herself caught between a hunter and his prey. The hunter insists that the man he's hunting is not just a criminal, but a werewolf. Valerie thinks that's the craziest thing she's ever heard--until she realizes that he might be right.

Autoren-Profil

Kyell Gold writes primarily anthropomorphic ("furry") fiction, and is most famous for his stories in a Renaissance-era world (Volle, Pendant of Fortune, The Prisoner's Release, Shadow of the Father) and his stories in a contemporary world (Waterways, Out of Position, Isolation Play). He has won ten Ursa Major awards for his novels and short stories. Out of Position also won the Rainbow Award for Best Gay Novel of 2009, and in 2010, his short story "Race to the Moon," published in "New Fables," was nominated for a WSFA Short Story Award. Other strange things he likes to write about include mystical decks of cards, superheroes, and sports. He was not born in California, but now considers it his home. He loves to travel and dine out with his partner of many years, Kit Silver, and can be seen at furry conventions in California, around the country, and abroad. With his friend K.M. Hirosaki, he hosts a podcast about writing called "Unsheathed," produced by Kit, and although Kit and K.M. both enjoy a glass of wine, Kyell prefers Coke Zero to fuel his podcasting and writing.
