Noi and his father live in a house by the sea, his father works hard as a fisherman and Noi often has only their six cats for company. So when, one day, he finds a baby whale washed up on the beach after a storm, Noi is excited and takes it home to care for it. Benji Davies was born and raised in Peterborough. After studying Animation at university, a thirst for pastures new led to London, where he now resides, drawing pictures (and sometimes make them move!). His books - including the much-loved The Storm Whale and Grandad's Island are international bestsellers, and have been translated into over 35 different languages.
