Another fun read. We have a mystery with some mild ghost action. Minus a few brief sexual moments, this read a lot like a young adult book. It was easy to follow and some of the twists felt that we were prepared for them. Although it starts slow, it picks up enough to keep you interested but not what I would consider a page turner. Still worth a read so go for it.

So slow. Got through only a third of it before setting it aside. The first/second person shift was irritating, nor were the characters compelling, especially Carly. The whole thing dragged on until I just had to give up, which is sad because the summary made the book sound somewhat interesting.

The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James is a split time suspense thriller. Within the first few sentences I felt the danger surrounding the character. Ms. St. James is an artist with words, conveying and evoking her character’s emotion to her readers. A mysterious disappearance of a young woman in 1982 and in 2017 another young woman searches for answers to this mystery. Live the fear, sorrow and urgency to find who is behind the evil. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. I appreciate the opportunity and thank the author and publisher for allowing me to read, enjoy and review this book. 5 Stars
