A book about a girl who has lost her father and who has a very distant relationship to her mother. A girl who is always tying to be perfect so she can live up to the expectations of her boyfriend. When he leaves for the summer to go to a genius camp she begins to make friends with new people. But it's not really what her strict mother wanted for her perfect daughter. I loved that book, as I do with most of Sarah Dessens Books. The Truth About Forever is highly relatable if you have ever felt like not beeing able to live up to peoples expectations.

Sarah Dessen is one of America's most successful writers of teenage fiction. Her books have won various awards, many of them spending several weeks on The New York Times bestseller list. Sarah lives in the countryside in North Carolina with her husband, some lizards and two very spoilt dogs. This is her second novel for Puffin, following the brilliant Just Listen.
