In The Unforgettable Sheikh, from a wealthy and political family, Karif finds his deception will have lasting repercussions. Although he felt the deception necessary, Chloe finds betrayal. In a story-line filled with deep emotion, the reader gets a glimpse of the restrictive life of the ultra wealthy. The Unforgettable Sheikh's an intense character driven romance. Without revealing spoilers, I must say, I felt Chloe had realistic concerns, as Karif come off as domineering and overwhelming at times. In the beginning, I did not care for his character, however, as the story progressed, I saw him as more human with issues, problems, politics, and troubling family dynamics of his own. McMahon developed his character progressively throughout the book. Chloe matured, faced her fears, and issues as McMahon developed her character. The road to forever was far from smooth for these two. The reader's treated to an emotional journey of distrust, misunderstandings, jealousies, deception, interference, and misconceptions. Finally in concluding my reviews for romance novel, The Unforgettable Sheikh, I found a solid entertaining sweet romance novel. Filled with strong independents characters, an intriguing story-line, believable characters and a realistic story-line, I found this sweet, intense, clean, romance easy to read; perfect for a lazy afternoon. Suitable for anyone who enjoys a sweet clean romance. In addition, I received this book from the author and chose to voluntarily review the book/novel with honest reviews for romance novel, The Unforgettable Sheikh.

Can betrayal ever be forgiven? The forth book in the series, this book has me both loving and cursing it at the same time. Chloe is a lovely character who was completely devastated and left reeling by Ben's disappearance, since then she has slowly rebuilt her life, her self confidence, her career and her dreams for the future. She is now a feisty, confident, career woman who is very wary of men and no longer trusts easily. Ben/Karif is no longer the carefree student he was 10 years ago, he is a respected leader, used to people deferring to him - he's completely at a loss when Chloe is defensive, wary and resistant to spending time with him. He doesn't understand why she doesn't welcome him with open arms, or how he can convince her to trust him again. I understood exactly why Chloe was as wary as she was and Karif has an up hill battle to win me over from the start, he frustrates me massively as he swings from being thoughtful, generous and caring one minute to being impatient, demanding and domineering the next. I am sure this comes from frustration and bewilderment on his part, but it left me not knowing if I wanted to kiss him or punch him. Can he finally find the words and actions to prove to Chloe she can trust him to put them first? Once again another well written book from Barbara, which takes you through the full spectrum of emotions: betrayal, hope, frustration, anger, lust, laughter and possibly, finally........love? I was sent a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and as with the rest of the series I loved this book, I read it in one sitting as it sucks you in from the first page - the 'real world' ceases to exist until you reach the final page, which for me is the sign of a great book !

You are young and in love thinking you have years to spend with your man when one day he comes up missing no word, no sight of him. He must be dead there is the only answer since you have turned over every rock, call the police and can’t find any answers…..fast forward 10 years when you are told to cover the story of the Sheikh and the President signing an agreement. Think about the shock on your face when you look into the lens and see the man you thought you loved, and lost never to see again. What is the first think you do….well you want to give him a piece of your mind lord knows I had no trouble doing this, but first you have to get yourself together….so you run for the hills…. Chloe is such a wonderful character you fall in love with her fast, your heart stays with her even with the secret she is hiding. I loved how she stood up to him even through her heart is breaking. Even after all these years and all he has done she still has trouble saying no to him. It took me a while to like Karif I don’t care what he said you do not leave the women you love and never getting in touch with her until it is too late. She stayed in one place long enough he could have called her. Then to point fingers at her demanding answers when he was at fought all along is just too much for me. I did grow to like him as he puts his plan in to motion. He does trying to win her back but she isn’t an easy sale by any means. The betrayal is big and very real from all directions. It has a good plot and some great writing. Karif is likable but it does that some time to get over his alpha male issues when he was the one in the wrong. He is very demanding but knows when to step back and give a little room. He doesn’t look his lessons very well and they come back to bite him. The story does move at in a fast pace that keeps it interesting leaving the reader saying a few bad words from time to time. I really enjoyed the story and can’t wait for the next one.
