She is also the founder of mybrownbaby.com, a critically acclaimed blog that examines the intersection of parenting and race. Denene lives in Atlanta with her two daughters and their adorable Goldendoodle, Teddy.
Angela Burt-Murray is the editor-in-chief at Essence magazine. She has written for Essence, Honey, Parenting, and Working Mother magazines. The co-author of The Angry Black Woman's Guide to Life, Burt-Murray lives in New Jersey with her husband and two sons.
