About this ebook

This novel dramatizes an incident that took place in a California school in 1969. A teacher creates an experimental movement in his class to help students understand how people could have followed Hitler. The results are astounding. The highly disciplined group, modeled on the principles of the Hilter Youth, has its own salute, chants, and special ways of acting as a unit and sweeps beyond the class and throughout the school, evolving into a society willing to give up freedom for regimentation and blind obedience to their leader. All will learn a lesson that will never be forgotten.

A good story loosely based on true events, the horror of "The Wave" is a bit overt but fits to show what the students are becoming. And how anyone can get swept up in a group mentality.

It is definitely short but the story is so good it keeps you immersed in this sad, amusing, and one of a kind story. I won't spoil anything but it is kinda scary this was based on a true story. But nevertheless a great novel with a great story.

It was an amazing story. Of course I would like it because it related to WWII, but it had a good plot and good use of emotional language. And also, my Seventh grade class loved.
