About this eBook

He is trying to remember this is a fake engagement...

Natalie Shaw has been healing from a troubling marriage for the two years she and her daughter, Annalise have lived with her sister, Dr. Rayne Smith and her husband, Lord Edwin Sterling. Working as her sister's nursing assistant has given her a purpose in life, and while she would not say she was happy, she was certainly content.

Lord Alex St. John has been pushed by his mother for years to find a wife. He had been betrothed and due to actions on the young lady's part, they went their separate ways. Now he must attend his cousin's five day wedding celebration and knows he will be harassed by all the female members of his family, with numerous women dragged before him..

Lord Sterling suggests to Alex that he take Natalie as a 'pretend' fiancée to ward off all the trouble he is about to face. Natalie agrees since life has become repetitive and she is ready for some fun.

It looks like it might all work out except Alex's former fiancée, Miss Mildred Walsh has arrived for the wedding, determined to win Alex back. Not only does he have no intention of doing so, he is beginning to think his 'fake' fiancée might be perfect as his 'real' fiancée. But would Natalie agree?

And then there is the desperate maneuvering Mildred is doing since not winning Alex back is not an option.
