Acerca deste libro electrónico

The general theme of this collection is an ironic and sometimes bitter comment on man's stupidity to man. But Tenn's humor is irrepressible and bursts forth in a joyous political satire on the wars of the sexes titled "The Masculinist Revolt" - which may yet bring codpieces back into fashion. The Wooden Star contains the following:

Generation of Noah
Brooklyn Project
The Dark Star
Null-P
Eastward Ho!
The Deserter
Betelgeuse Bridge
"Will You Walk a Little Faster"
It Ends with a Flicker
Lisbon Cubed
The Masculinist Revolt

Acerca do autor

William Tenn (1920-2010)
William Tenn was the pseudonym of British-born academic and writer Philip Klass. He was born in London, to American parents, and he spent most of his life in the United States, teaching writing and SF at Pennsylvania State College from 1966. He began writing after serving in the Second World War and published his first story, 'Alexander the Bait' in Astounding Science Fiction in 1946. Stories like 'Down Among the Dead Men', 'The Liberation of Earth' and 'The Custodian' quickly established him as a fine, funny and thoughtful satirist. In 1999 William Tenn was selected the Science Fiction Writers of America's Author Emeritus. He died in 2010.
