This was a fabulous instalment in the Willow Cove series. It had it all… great characters, genuine and tender romance, fun, laughter and intrigue! I always enjoy this author’s stories, but this one was extra special. The history and depth of relationship between the lead characters gave such believability and robustness to their story and developing romance. The intrigue kept my guessing until the end, which is extremely rare, so gave such satisfaction when it was finally revealed (my mind exclaimed: “Really?! Wow… didn’t see that…” *happy*). This is a great book, in yet another great series, and I highly recommend giving it a read!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Swoony, Artistic Hero — I have been reading this author off and on for several years, including this series. I think this is the one I've enjoyed the most from this series. The hero is absolutely swoon-worthy. The heroine has been his crush since he was a young teen, as she is his older sister's best friend. The book literally starts with a bang, with what the heroine believes is just a casual hookup at a wedding, but it's actually a night the hero has dreamt of since puberty (as he later admits!). The extended intimate scene clearly shows how much this means to him; it is clearly no hookup where he's concerned. Now, it will just take the rest of the book for him to convince her that they are meant to be! She doesn't want to go there because he IS her best friend's little brother. The heroine owns an ice cream shop, inherited from her great-aunt, which is vandalized the morning after they get together. As a painter who’s lost his mojo, he's perfect for the job of helping her so she can open her shop in time for the start of the tourist season; In return, she will pose as a model for him as he practices portrait painting, an art form he doesn't particularly like but he knows pays better than his Pollock-like paintings. Will she become his muse, ending his dry spell? There are lots of awkward moments between them here as well as fun and silly ones (loved the “bet” before they went in the paint store!). I felt so bad for the hero at times because it was so clear how deeply he felt for her, and she could not let herself acknowledge her true feelings for him. I'm not a fan of casual profanity in any books at all, but especially in romances. This one did have some casual swearing, including the F-bomb, but there was one scene where that word was used a lot... but I thought it was wholly appropriate for the story. Sheriff Reid used it to a good advantage. If you love swoon-worthy heroes who might just be a bit taboo, you may enjoy this book as well as I did. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

This is book four in The Willow Cove Series and it is Krissy and Tony's story. Krissy and Tony have know each other most of there lives as she is best friends to Tony sister and they both live in Willow Cove where she owns a ice cream shop and he is a artist but at yet another wedding they dance and have a one night stand but the next morning Krissy said that it was a mistake as she is two years older than Tony but he doesn't see it that way. Tony has been in love with Krissy for many years but she has only seen him as a friend but once they spent the night together he is more determined to prove to her that they belong together now ever long it takes as he has plenty of patients. When Krissy has things happening to her shop and it starts to become dangerous it is Tony that is always there for her regardless of what he is doing and the more time they spend together the harder it is to deny how Krissy feels but will she let down her wall's enough to let Tony in especially as the chemistry between them is so strong only time will tell. I absolutely love this book and I couldn't put it down and it was so addictive and a real page turner. Theresa Paolo is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
