About this ebook

First impressions are everything…or are they?

Sophie Reynolds thought she hit the dating pool jackpot when she scored a date with Red Maple Falls resident doctor, Drake Stevens, except the date was a total dud. Sophie accepted they had no chemistry and moved on. But two years later, thrust back into each other’s lives, Drake Stevens proves he is anything but a dud.

One minute, Drake Stevens, was in the running for the town’s most eligible bachelor, and the next, he was the guardian to a precocious six-year-old. Trying to balance work and his new role as a parent, he seeks the help of his niece’s first grade teacher and the woman he had blown his chances with.

As Sophie helps Drake settle into his new life, their chemistry explodes into passion, making Sophie wonder if Mr. Right had been there all along.

Ah what a wonderful sweet, fun and romantic small town story. There was not one thing that I didn’t enjoy about this book. The characters are amazing and therefore I am always looking forward to another trip to Red Maple Falls, and this visit to get to know Sophie and Drake did not disappoint. It is a match made in heaven, a doctor and a school teacher in a beautiful small town, but this story was not a predictable paint by numbers... it was full excitement and fun, and had such wonderful layers to get lost in all the relationships and interactions as you are cheering on your favourite characters (I love Charlotte). A wonderful story which gives the reader a true sense of joy whilst escaping to a small town to catch up with the locals. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

I enjoyed Sophie and Drake’s second chance. Two years prior was a dud but this time around sparks do fly. The characters are engaging and well developed with plenty of chemistry throughout the pages and the connection between the three is wonderful. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Dr. Drake never expected to be a father and to have to take care of silent hurting Charlotte after she lost her mother. Sophie is an amazing first grade teacher. I loved that she comes up with new interactive themes every year and wants to raise enough money for new books and tablets for the students. She is patient and encouraging with young Charlotte and helpful to her uncle even if she still resents him for the bad date they had. I laughed when she helped him with school supplies and used the supplies in her purse to put together an assignment with Charlotte. Her weekly meetings with her friends were a riot. They were rooting for Sophie and Drake to be together. But Drake is afraid that their relationship will interfere with his job. This was a steamy small town romance with sad, sweet, and laugh out loud moments.
