This Girl Can Shine Too is written by LaVanna Gordon. Every piece of Art is had painted by Lavanna. LaVanna had inspiration to write this book for many reasons. We are so glad she did. Here are some words personally from her, “I wrote this book for all ages. It’s something for little black girls all the way to adults. These words I wrote are just little pieces of what I tell my children. I'm proud to walk in my own shoes and I felt the need to share some of that beauty with you. I hope my words of strength and positivity reach you, your Mom, Sister, Children, Niece, Aunt, and special ladies in your life! Your new book does come with a glossary for words the youth may not be familiar with.
