4 rather than 5 stars this time. Still love the prose and observational detail but I miss the dark humour of The Slough House series. Maybe I've been spoiled. A little more predictable perhaps and I can't help feeling that this was really a short story fleshed out but not quite a full novel. Still enjoyed it though.
