About this ebook

When three Tasmanian children try chasing a couple of home-alone kids who live on an old barge in New Zealand’s Bay of Islands, they soon find themselves heavily involved in a conflict with one of the local oyster-farmers. The outcome is a triumph of lateral thinking, and a signal to youngsters that it is possible to bring about positive change in the world.

A fast-paced boating adventure which brings the Ransome genre squarely into the 21st century and promises to capture the imagination of even the most reluctant young reader.

About the author

Jon Tucker is a Kiwi teacher-turned-adventurer whose traditional yacht is the only home he and his wife Barbara owned for most of their lives. For two decades they and their five sons extensively sailed the waters of New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific. Their accumulated experiences have provided Jon with sufficient material, both true and imaginative, to create a linked series of environmentally themed children’s books.
