Timmy is a little green frog who lives in a hollow in a pond with his mamma, poppa, and sister, Trina. The pond is a peaceful place where dragonflies fly and robins sing, and the Hops family lives there happily. Hannah N. Weibel grew up with a great love for the stories her mother read to her, and stories her mother would create from the days events.
Story time has always held a very special place in her life.
She has been writing stories and poetry ever since she was a little girl, providing a way for her to express herself, share joy and learn how to overcome her fears. As a child, Hannah struggled with her self-confidence and fears, which inspired her to pen a book for children experiencing the same emotions. “Timmy and the Wild Wood” follows the titular character, Timmy, as he finds himself alone for the first time, unsure of what awaits him, and in charge of his own decisions. Readers follow Timmy as he embraces his fears and makes his own choices, using the lessons his parents have taught him and knowing that there is always a path home. Hannah’s hope is that, with Timmy’s guidance, young readers will be able to find their own self-confidence and learn to see the beauty beyond the fear.
Hannah lives in Victoria, British Columbia with her wonderful husband and their joyful dachshund. “Timmy and the Wild Wood” is her debut publication.
