This book is only anti inflammatory to the worst eaters: those who are so into processed foods and pro-inflammatory eating that any amount of cutting down would help them. I am considered optimal weight for my height, yet I have numerous allergy and health issues that require my following an anti-inflammatory lifestyle. More than 2/3 of this book contains recipes that in no uncertain terms are not -- and I repeat, not -- considered anti-inflammatory in any way, shape, or form. Two slices of whole wheat bread for each of two meals every day? That sounds pro-inflammatory, especially for gluten-sensitive people. Add insult to injury is the fact the author insists on using sugar (which is highly pro-inflammatory) and using other pro-inflammatory items in those so-called recipes that are supposedly anti-inflammatory. Given the option, I wouldn't have bought this book if I had been given the chance to see a sampling of the meal selections from the weekly plan. Buyer beware: buy elsewhere!
