About this ebook

Her Temporary Cowboy

Attorney Jackson Harris regularly goes toe-to-toe with the world’s toughest lawyers—but none of them compare to Lucy Maxwell. The feisty director of Oklahoma’s Big Heart Ranch for orphans is as stubborn as she is pretty. But Jack must stay focused; he’s only there to evaluate the ranch’s funding. Falling for Lucy and the sweet children she protects is out of the question. Though Lucy is determined to keep the ranch, she’s not about to give control to a city slicker—even a devastatingly good-looking one. But as they bump heads, Jack and Lucy gradually nudge open their hearts. Could a temporary cowboy become a permanent part of Lucy’s life?

This charming story about a jaded attorney and a spirited director of a ranch for orphans is perfect for me! Lucy will fight tooth and nail for those kids on that ranch, even if she has to come up against Jackson, the lawyer that hold's the purse strings for the foundation that regularly gives money to the ranch. Jackson thinks that the ranch isn't worthy of the money and should receive less or maybe none of the money but Lucy makes him come and stay at the ranch for 6 weeks (or rather his aunt does who is the director of the foundation) before he makes the final decision. A lot can happen in 6 weeks and it certainly does! For one, Jackson is assigned a child to be his buddy and that's "Dub", a 5 year old with so much sweetness in his soul that Jackson can't help but love him! I could love this book just by the interactions between Mr. Jack and Dub alone! However, there were so many sweet and tender experiences in this book. I had a hard time putting it down. I loved all the characters, especially "The General"! She was fantastic! Due yourself a favor and read this book. It's great!

Claiming Her Cowboy by Tina Radcliffe is a great read featuring Lucy Maxwell, ranch director, and Jackson Harris, the tough lawyer from the city. But wait, who is the cowboy? Jackson Harris has decided that Oklahoma's Big Heart Ranch should not continue to receive funding through his Aunt's foundation. He has done the math and as her attorney does not think it is smart move. His Aunt thinks otherwise. Jackson is assigned to the position of ranch hand. He observes the ranch happenings while learning his way around the ranch and getting to know Lucy. Lucy and Jackson have a wonderful chemistry and I could not help smiling throughout the story. I love the setting of a ranch that cares for orphans. I also love how adoption is a part of this story and portrayed so positively. Cute kids, a handsome cowboy, great dialogue, and funny animals to boot make for a great story. I highly recommend Ms. Radcliffe's new book Claiming Her Cowboy, and cannot wait for the other two books in the series. I received a copy from the publisher. I was not required to write a review.
