Nowadays kids are exposed to smart phones, gamings and other technologies that they don't have time to explore nature and enjoy living in reality. This story actually felt a bit refreshing for me. Set in the 1990s, even before Calcutta was renamed as Kolkata, this story will for sure make us feel light. Our protagonist, Tinku, is getting ready for her stay in the hostel while her parents are temporarily traveling to London as her father is about to attend a conference. But things change when Tinku falls sick and has been asked to rest atleast for a month. Since there was no one to take care of Tinku, she was supposed to move with Moni Mashi and Nutu Pishi to Palashdanga village. Moni mashi is Tinku’s mother’s sister and Nutu pishi, her Baba’s youngest sister. Hoo.. hoo ! There begins the journey of complete fun and happiness! Every little thing Tinku explored in that small village amazed her. Right from ponds to ducks everything associated with nature seemed to be impressive to Tinku. Grab the book to know what else tinku found in that village ! The writing style was very simple and enjoyable! I can assure that this book for sure would be a light and happy read for both the elders and kids !

Tinku's Summer Adventure Written by Swapna Dutta This is a book that children and adults alike can enjoy. This is Tinku's story, a beautiful story that captures all of her joys and worries. Tinku is geared up for a good time in her school hostel while her parents travel to London for a conference. Aunts Moni Mashi and Nuttu Pishi have been friends with Tintu since childhood. When Achen and her mother moved to London, she was taken care of by her aunts from her hostel life. Moni Mashi was a teacher. They get a temporary assignment to a summer school in the village of Palashdanga. Nattu and Tinku were taken along. The excitement of the story started there. Depicts rural lifestyles and presentation of old times. The pictures became more beautiful according to the context.Palashadanga is a small village in Bengal. Fun and adventurous scenes take place there. Tintu enjoyed life with them. The psychological development of a child who is not close to his parents The depiction of the situation proved the author's ability. Characters' Dialogue Friendship Fellowship All of this went well. The drawing was very good. Overall a good story. The use of language was soft so I knew the fluency and flow in the reading. I recommended.

• The book is the better selection for children as well as grown-ups. • For children, it could be a decent read about experiencing nature & the neighborhood, and for grown-ups, brings back the happy moments of life. In modern times, we are going far with family, and being nuclear, it is hard to adjust, but tinku's summer adventure shows how socialization develops a child as a whole. • calling it an adventure is one factor. It is more than an adventure. The reader can relate if to modern life and Indian culture. For a child's better development is necessary to communicate and explore. Tinku's summer adventure is a journey of exploring. • based on characters, the book is better. Easy to relate and connectivity is good. The connection between the event is appreciable and the theme of each section is good. • overall it is a good book to read.
