About this ebook

The bestselling parents' guide towards happy, sleeping babies from birth to two years, from the international baby whisperer Tizzie Hall

LAST UPDATED 2021

Tizzie Hall has gained an international reputation as a baby whisperer and miracle worker. Even from an early age, Tizzie knew how to read babies' body language and cries, and from that auspicious beginning she has developed a series of sleep routines that have provided parents and babies with a good night's sleep the world over.

Save Our Sleep is the book that parents asked Tizzie to write, and with over 270,000 copies sold it has become the only book parents need to cure their own sleep deprivation! New material includes new routines, integrated feedback on routines, dummy use, express feeding, dealing with premature babies and twins, more information on teaching your baby to self-settle and brand new case studies and tips.

Just another cry-it-out book. Crying it out is dangerous and inhumane and most of all unscientific. This woman is no expert, she didn't even have children when writing the book. Parents need to get out of the 1950s and learn how to take care of children properly. Waste of money. Try Dr. Jay Gordon's book "Good Nights" or anything by Dr. Sears (The Baby Sleep Book).

I found this book distressing as an expectant mum. As a psychologist, I've since seen too many women in my office in part because of the advice of Tizzie and others like her; they promote sleep practices that are known to be damaging to babies. Anything that goes against your instinct as a parent feels wrong for good reason. If sleep is a big issue, get proper support and don't put yourself through the stress of this type of book.

This book has the potential to cause so much harm, to babies and new parents! Do not take advice from someone who doesn't have any qualifications, and promotes neglecting basic compassion. Your baby is only little once. cuddle them. love them. treat them how you'd like to be treated! Direct quote: "I often come across a baby who has learnt to vomit at bedtime during failed attempts at controlled crying. If you have one of these babies you will need to teach your child that vomiting will not get your attention or buy any extra time. This is hard, but it has to be done to stop the vomiting. The way you achieve this is to make the bed vomit-proof. Layer the towels in the bed and on the floor so it is easy for you to remove the vomit. When your baby vomits take the top towels away, leaving a second layer in case of a second vomit."
