An epic battle between a boy, a boat and a shark
With a crack as though her back was breaking the dory lurched downwards. Christos felt himself twist, then fall inexorably, towards the head of the inquisitive shark. For his birthday, Christos takes his father's mackerel dory on his first solo trip. He plans to fish and then camp overnight on a local island. Om forfatteren
Mark Svendsen is author of half a dozen young adult and children's novels and an equal number of picture books. Several of his works have been Children Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Honour Books. He also wrote the lyrics for two choral symphonies by acclaimed composer Elena Kats-Chernin and holds a MA in Creative Writing from Queensland University of Technology. Mark lives in Zilzie, Central Queensland with his composer/teacher/cellist wife, Anne.
