Oil field firefighter Tom is on sabbatical from his life-threatening career when suddenly he gets into a car accident while trying to avoid hitting a dog in the road. Tom takes her and the dog back to her farm, where she's been living all alone. With no husband in sight, Tom takes it on himself to care for the pregnant duo.
