Oil field firefighter Tom is on sabbatical from his life-threatening career when suddenly he gets into a car accident while trying to avoid hitting a dog in the road. The one he does hit is a pregnant young woman, as fair and beautiful as an angel. She's not the only one pregnant?the dog is also carrying pups! Tom takes her and the dog back to her farm, where she's been living all alone. With no husband in sight, Tom takes it on himself to care for the pregnant duo. For someone who has always avoided getting close to others, Tom is confused as to his change of heart.
