About this ebook

His name is a cover
He has no home
And he kills for a living

Victor is an assassin, a man with no past and no surname. His world is one of paranoia and obsessive attention to detail; his morality lies either dead or dying. No one knows what truly motivates the hunter. No one gets close enough to ask.

When a Paris job goes spectacularly wrong, Victor finds himself running for his life across four continents, pursued by a kill squad and investigated by secret services from more than one country. With meticulous style, Victor plans his escape . . . and takes the fight to his would-be killers.

In this first novel in the explosive Victor the Assassin series, it's not about right and wrong - only about who lives and who dies.

I liked this book, alot. The action is fast paced and well written. Things move along at a fast pace, and the action takes place over several continents. I liked the fact that although Victor is at the top of his game, he does get injured, he does get hurt...which to me is a good thing. He is human after all. The story of Sumner and Victor is interesting and offers a change of pace from the fast paced action the rest of the book provides. The interaction between the two is enjoyable, and adds to the story, rather than detract. It also gives you a chance to catch your breath from the action. If you like spy/thrillers, then I would recommend this book. I dont think you will be disappointed. Looking forward to the other two books in the series

Quite simply, I couldn't put it down. Its a well written, exciting and fast paced believable story. I would compare the author to several of the worlds best already.

I was looking for something to read after tearing through all the Jack Reacher novels. This is a great book, in the same easy reading, fast action style. I definitely recommend picking this up.

About the author

Tom Wood is a full-time writer born in Burton-on-Trent who now lives in London. After a stint as freelance editor and film-maker, he completed his first novel, The Hunter, which was an instant bestseller and introduced readers to a genuine antihero, Victor, an assassin with a purely logical view on life and whose morals are deeply questionable. Like Victor, Tom is passionate about physical sport, being both a huge boxing fan and practising Krav Maga martial arts, which has seen him sustain a number of injuries. He has not, however, ever killed anyone.

Tom also publishes standalone psychological thrillers, including A Knock at the Door.
