About this ebook

Full of magic and danger, Children of Virtue and Vengeance is the breathtaking sequel to Tomi Adeyemi's ground-breaking, bestselling West African-inspired fantasy Children of Blood and Bone.

After battling the impossible, Zélie and Amari have finally succeeded in bringing magic back to the land of Orïsha. But the ritual was more powerful than they could've imagined, reigniting the powers of not only the maji, but of nobles with magic ancestry, too.

Now, Zélie struggles to unite the maji in an Orïsha where the enemy is just as powerful as they are. But with civil war looming on the horizon, Zélie finds herself at a breaking point: she must discover a way to bring the kingdom together or watch as Orïsha tears itself apart . . .

Continue the mythical magic with the last in the trilogy, Children of Anguish and Anarchy.

Just to put it out there Tomi is an incredible writer , the way in which she instills emotion and develops conflict is astonishing. And at some point I had so much interpersonal conflict,I'd stop reading the book to scream all on my own,and when I was sure I was done with the book,I'd find myself in between the pages of the book. Roen is a prick, no lies.I just really don't like him, not that I hate him but I just don't want him with Zelie . It's not fair that Inan's effort is compared to Roen's presence . Of course Roen was always there for Zelie because he didn't have to compromise anything. Inan had a kingdom to protect,he had tough decisions to make, it was impossible for him to just up and leave everything and run with Zelie. No one acknowledges his efforts to change, there were so so many obstacles but he still tried. He even dissolved the monarchy for heaven's sake, but no one cares, right? I've seen inan grow because of zelie's love ,I've seen how he wants to change for her.

It was a joy to take in all the twists and turns, leaving us on a cliff hanger once again. Deeply looking forward to reading both books again, until the next one arrives 😁📚
