Oh, Cooper. *sigh* Cooper, Cooper, Cooper.... He finally gets his own HEA. Or does he??... We all fell in love with Cooper in book 1 of the Forbidden Desires series. And our hearts also broke right along with his. We're finally given an inside look into his mind, and the not-so-hidden turmoils he's endured trying to nurse his broken spirit. He's quite a unique character...lovable, funny, and just an overall good guy. Throw in his gorgeous good looks and effervescent personality, and any woman would be lucky enough to call him hers. I was immediately intrigued with how Cooper was going to handle going back to working along side his brother, Gavin. We all know what, or more like WHO, came between them. But I had faith in Cooper. He just needed something, or should I say SOMEONE, to take his mind off his heartbreak. Cue: Corinne. Now Corinne was someone that surprised me. Not her introduction per se, more the characteristics she displayed. Her reserved and quite private personality made it difficult to truly understand the type of character she was. Who was she? And what hidden secrets does she keep? I, right along with Cooper, was desperate to find out. The character's initial meeting was, shall I say, unconventional. And as their relationship, both business and personal, continued along those same lines, I couldn't help but wonder if these two really belonged together. But as the book progressed, it was evident that Cooper and Corinne complimented each other wonderfully, giving one another what the other needed. And their shared passion was unbelievably hot and their chemistry together was off the charts! Torrid Little Affair was exactly wanted readers needed for Cooper's story. Emotional, intriguing, and scintillating, this book is an absolute must read that will only make you fall more in love with Kendall Ryan's writing!

3.5 stars for Torrid Little Affair I’m a fan of Kendall Ryan and loved Hitched from her Imperfect Love Kindle World series, so I fully expected to love Torrid Little Affair. Somehow, that didn’t happen. I didn’t hate, far from it, I just never fell in love with the characters. Maybe if I’d noticed that this was book 3 of the Forbidden Love series I would have enjoyed it better, but I didn’t so- my bad. Not that the story can’t be read as a standalone because it obviously can. I did it. Cooper runs a hugely successful high class escort agency with his two brothers, and is in the doldrums when we first met in here after the events of the previous two books. So, in an effort to get him back to work, Gavin and Quinn hire Corrine O’Neill to be his a new P.A. Cooper came off as a bit of a douchecanoe when he sees Corrine, treating when her in the most deplorable manner and reducing her to tears. He soon apologized and made up for but still, I found it hard to warm up to his character. Corrine had a lot of secrets that she was hiding her true self behind, so when Cooper made his offer to help her she doesn’t jump at it, even though she’s attracted to him. But it doesn’t take long before she agrees. Their affair starts slowly but when Corrine’s secrets finally come to light, Cooper in incensed and badly hurt-again. Can Corrine find the strength to make him understand Or is this the end of their Torrid Little Affair?

Readers Together
After listening to Dirty Little Secret and Dirty Little Promise, I was anxious for Cooper to get his happily ever after, Torrid Little Affair didn’t disappoint. It’s a sweeter story than the Dirty Little Duet and can be read as a standalone, although I’d recommend reading it after the duet for full enjoyment. Kendall Ryan has done it! She’s broken me. I thought this would be a cute fast read, instead I laughed, and I cried, and I was left feeling like I’d been put through the wringer. This book hit me with all the feels. It has so many moments that made you sit and think. I stayed up until 5am reading this book and then I only put it down because I couldn’t stay awake any longer, I woke up and dived right back in. Kendall’s writing is fantastic, I love how she’s just pulls me into this world and holds me hostage, I’m still thinking about this book a couple of days later. I thought I loved Gavin, and I do, but that is nothing compared to what I feel for Cooper. He is everything. I love him so much. He is sweet, he is sexy, he is funny, and he is charming. He is such a sweet guy that you can’t help but swoon over. And his choice of pet name was perfection. ‘Little Dove’ sigh. Corinne was awesome, I liked that she was quite sensitive but strong. She’s sassy and sexy. She can definitely hold her own. I wanted to shout at her to tell Coop everything, because it’s Coop, and we all know he’d understand, but I also understood her reasonings. She’s the type of girl you wanna hang with. The relationship between Cooper and Corinne was beautiful, what started as a little bit of fun soon turned into something more, even though that’s not what either of them had wanted originally. The sexual encounters between this couple are set your kindle on fire, hot. You’ll love how their sexual journey unfolds because it’s not your typical romance sex, it’s hot as anything but I think that’s because of the build-up. The little things that this couple do together make it all the more perfect. When we find out Corinne’s secret it makes everything fall into place, and her reactions to certain things all of a sudden make perfect sense, it was a great twist that worked really well.
