About this eBook

Paradise hides the deadliest secrets...

Patricia McKay’s latest travel assignment is a dream come true: a tropical getaway where she can soak up the sun and interview a local businesswoman who’s determined to transform the island into a world-class family vacation destination.

But trouble is brewing in paradise – and when a poison dart lands Patricia’s interviewee in a body bag, her trip takes a sour turn... and everybody’s favorite amateur sleuth is plunged into a murky murder investigation that pushes her to the brink.

After the island’s only boat is stolen, Patricia finds herself stranded with a quirky cast of suspects – including a strange cowboy, a crazy cook, two lovestruck natives, a dim-witted blond on the run from a bounty hunter, and a dangerous man who isn’t what he seems. With the odds stacked against her, Patricia must fight to keep her head above water as she tries to unravel a mysterious case that forces her to discard theory after theory.

Can Patricia follow the killer’s tracks and emerge from the jungle victorious? Or will this disastrous vacation be the last one she ever takes?

Packed with thrilling twists and turns that will challenge even the most seasoned mystery reader, Tropical Tragedy is a fun and feel-good cozy mystery novel that will delight fans of puzzling who-dun-its and amateur sleuths.

I've read a lot of books written by Wendy Meadows; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is the fifth book in the Travel Writer Mystery Series; it is a stand-alone short story. The story is about Patricia; she’s a travel writer and goes to interview Norma Nillins; they meet on the beach but have to leave before the tide comes in. As they leave she gets killed with a poison dart. I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily lea
