Very disappointing. Waited ages for this final book. Added nothing new to original main characters. You wait a long time to learn what the curse is and its not really a curse at all, very easy to get around. We do see Qall develop but the plot is just rubbish. We have a new baddie appearing from nowhere, no backstory, no character development, pathetically easy to defeat. How many times do we have to read intricate details of world hopping? Some interesting new characters (librarian) that are not explored fully. Seems like author was in a rush to just get the series finished. There is scope for another sequel as some characters were left hanging, though I wouldn't bother reading another book in this series. I conclude by saying this is one of the worse books I have ever read, a shame as the previous books were strong.

Very enjoyable book, but the ending felt very rushed and the main villain was never anything more than an underdeveloped distant threat. I finished the book with a lot of unanswered questions.

I have read all off Trudi's work; this is a great addition to the other 3 books and a great telling of it. The story was great but the ending was a little sudden and I echo others reviewers in that the main threat was never fully realised.
