This is Annie Fellows Johnston’s 1899 children’s book, “Two Little Knights Of Kentucky”. Part of the “Little Colonel" series, it is the charming story of a young girl called Lloyd Sherman who lives in the post-Civil War South. The “two little knights” refers to Malcolm and Keith, two aristocratic children whose chivalric ideals take them through a series of exciting adventures. This fantastic story would make for perfect bedtime reading, and is not to be missed by fans and collectors of Johnston’s work. Annie Fellows Johnston (1863–1931) was an American author famous for writing popular children's books. Other notable works by this author include: “Georgina's Service Stars” (1918) and “Mary Ware's Promised Land” (1912). Many classic books such as this are becoming increasingly rare and expensive.
