This book has stayed with me for a long time. It's a great story of a troubled man, and the woman in desperate straits who saves him. Read it alone, or as part of the series... An amazing and imaginative story, that grounds you in the reality of the times and yet makes a contemporary connection with your heart.

Loved the story and the characters. The right and the wrong and how they meet in the middle to an extent. The loner finds love in the best of ways and had me not wanting to put the book done! Best of the 3 Turner series books in my opinion.

blood and guts, intrigue, love, passion, and a happy ending. What more could you ask for. I found this such a pleasant read, it made a nice change to have a happy ending without compromising the story.
