I indeed enjoyed every moment spent reading this installment of this series! The high adrenaline moments contrasted so vividly with the heart rending tenderness and sorrow in others. A feast to keep one spellbound for as long ad it takes to read the book. Stunning!

I have been following the amazing Alpha Elite series since its inception. VT Bonds has been flawless in her delivery of super intense books focused on Alphas warriors finding their fated Omega lifemates. This fourth installment is Jumoke's story and his unexpected journey to his Omega mate Anastasia. Unlike the other Alphas, Jumoke does not understand why his warrior brothers have succumbed to what he calls the 'weakness' of a mate. He cannot appreciate the intensity of the Alpha/Omega bond and does not yearn for it. Until he meets Omega lifemate, Anastasia. Jumoke is not the only one who wants to avoid the bond, Anastasia also wants nothing to do with a lifemate but for completely different reasons. As we get to know Anastasia and her heart wrenching story, we bleed alongside her and we mourn all her losses. We get to understand the gentle and selfless being she is, depriving herself of the precious Alpha love to save Jumoke from herself. Her delicate heart only highlights the strength of her soul. Jumoke is an unexpected surprise when he finally sees his Omega mate for what she is and what she means in his life. The journey they embark on is one filled with love, forgiveness, and redemption. I absolutely loved them and Jumoke has stolen my heart. I cant wait to see the the season finale.

Please pay attention to the author's warning in the description of this story. If you aren't in a good headspace, or if the loss of a child is a trigger for you please read with caution. That seems like a strange trigger warning for a romance novel, but this one had me on the verge of tears from beginning to end. Anastasia has had a horrible life, and it's not just alluded to in the story. It's the driving force for the romance between her and Jumoke, and what a beautiful romance it is. This may be my favorite story in this series, but it's not an easy read. Along with the gut-wrenching sadness there is also a lot of anger. I can only describe the anger I felt as rage - pure rage. The kind that makes you want to scream and break things. And then there was the tender way Jumoke cares for Anastasia; another thing that kept me on the verge of tears. I can't say more than that without giving away spoilers, so I won't, but it was intense. Even remembering it makes my chest feel tight and brings tears to my eyes. This story is going to haunt me in a way very few do. I also know that I will re-read it over and over, and cry every single time. It's not going to become less painful no matter how many times I read the words, but I'm not going to be able to stay away from these amazing characters.
