About the author

Kate Slater is a talented illustrator specialising in mixed media collage. Inspired by her childhood living on a beautiful farm in Staffordshire, and her current home in a quaint countryside village, Kate loves to draw the wildlife that surrounds her, as well as animals from all over the world. Kate has previously illustrated several children's books, created large scale installations and window displays, and has even appeared on Blue Peter. When she isn't walking her dog in her picturesque surroundings, Kate enjoys creating a range of gift and homeware products, which all feature beautiful animal illustrations.
