Demon's Destiny: A Steamy Dark Alpha Demon Romance

This is an interesting story. Overall a good read with likable characters. Baal and Ranata are destined mates but not sure love is in the cards. However, they definitely have chemistry.

Baal was stunned that he actually got turned down by a woman for the first time! In fact, the exotic woman behind the bar wouldn’t even give him her name! He offered her a job in his highly successful Vegas club called “Dragon’s Cove” as hostess in the casino. He offered to fly her in for an interview. With a limo, private jet, and free hotel room, he hoped she would consider it. As he was leaving, she called out her name to him – Ranata. But she had to find her sister, Raven, who had been out of touch for a couple weeks. As Ranata closed up and headed for her car, she was grabbed by the guy her sister had been seeing. There was something about Clive she had always mistrusted. As he was about to rape her, she broke free and ran toward the surrounding woods. He caught her, but Father Ryan came up behind him and pulled him off. As she was helped up, she wondered why he was even there at 3 AM. Then she felt the needle as he said he needed her to placate the devil, and everything went black. Trying to track down the evil demi-god Lowan, Guardians Baal and Marcus were watching a clearing when a woman with a hood over her head was shoved ahead of the robed group. When they were about to sacrifice her, Baal switched to his intimidating demon form and flashed down to the altar, demanding they release her. He sent the humans away, but the girl ran too, and demons attacked Baal and Marcus. Baal chased after the girl, killed the demon who fought with her, then grabbed her and realized it was Ranata! With more demons coming at them, he grabbed her and flashed away to a mountain compound with human helpers and dragon guards to protect them. Baal tracked Ranata down and they talked about what had happened. She needed to find her missing sister. All of his protective instincts came up. And when he saw her pain over her sister, he couldn’t believe that he offered to find her! Ranata was afraid to trust anyone anymore. She had been betrayed too often now. Baal didn’t want to commit to a mate, having painfully lost the woman he loved long ago. Could the two of them work together, build trust in each other, and accept that they are mates? The writing in this story was outstanding. The story line moved quickly along, while the characters were portrayed so well that the reader cared what happened to them. It did feel a bit strange to be cheering for a demon – and for seeing characteristics you can only admire being revealed in the traditional bad guys! Regardless, this story will invest the reader completely in the outcome. You will definitely not want to miss it!

This was another wonderful addition to this series. Baal and Ranata's story was steamy, emotional, suspenseful and fun. I really liked both these strong willed characters and enjoyed the sparks they created together in their fight to resist surrendering to love. Can't wait for the next book in this entertaining series.
