YOUR HEART’S SAFE WITH US OMG, the saga continues from book one, Mountain Darkness, and the mystery of the murder of Erin Mills. The second book really needs to be read after book one, because this is an ongoing saga, and this one has some new people, Lucas, Cy, and Hailey. Hailey Taylor has been recovering from a serious skiing wipeout that resulted in surgery and plenty of PT. She will meet Lucas Mills at a Mud Run in Big Sky, where he will partner with her, and it kicks off a relationship. What starts as just fun for her is slowly changing, and Hailey loves that Lucas is kinky too—and when it comes up about a threesome, Lucas wants to bring in his friend, Cy Seaborn. “I wanted her. Needed her. I hoped to marry her. A ring and a piece of paper didn’t matter. Just me being with her wasn’t enough. Because we—me and Hailey—weren’t enough. We needed Cy in on it because our happily ever after included him. We had to see how this would work. Long term? Hopefully, but for tonight, to start.” The plot will have Lucas and Hailey agreeing to have Cy join them for a threesome—and Hailey will go to his ranch, where Cy assumes she is just another reporter looking for a story. It will take Lucas showing up to help convince him that what Hailey was saying was for real—the three of them, together. The chemistry between Lucas, Hailey, and Cy is explosive (no m/m action), and Hailey learns quickly that Cy is dominant, likes to spank and take control—and that works well for her. They are as good together naked as they are clothed, all three blending well—but trouble is on its way. Hailey has been avoiding her future—she is a skiing champion, and her coach is after her to return to work—but is this what she really wants to do? Has her time with Lucas and Cy only be for fun—or does she want more—a future with them? “You have to decide what’s right for you. Only for you. Quit for you, but don’t replace skiing with us. We won’t enable that. If you don’t want to compete anymore, that’s fine. But you need to go talk to your coach. End it.” “I love you. From the very beginning, I think. From that first mud puddle. And you—since the skunk. I’m scared of what can happen. Of getting hurt again. I love skiing; it’s my life, but one awful wipeout and it’s over for me. I’m lost without it, or I have been. Until you, I want you both in my life, but I don’t want you to be my life. What if I fall? I can survive another knee injury, but my heart—“ What will happen when Hailey talks with her parents, her coach, and her sponsors? Can she walk away from competition? How will her coach, Mark Bastion, handle her decision? Has Hailey come up with a way she can still enjoy skiing, but help others? The story also has more about the murder case of Erin Mills. The police are working on eliminating people and questioning others. Is the killer closer than they realize? The tale isn’t over, the mystery has several twists and turns, and this saga isn’t over. But maybe, Hailey has found her new dream, and it will include Lucas and Cy. “Lucas and I had the woman of our dreams, and we weren’t letting her go. In fact, we were going to show her how much we loved her. Words were one thing, but actions were another.” The story is a continuation of the murder case and the beginning of a new triad relationship and does end on another cliffhanger. There are explicit sex scenes that include ménage and mild spanking.
