Save Me picks right up where Deceive Me had ended, which was a doozy of a cliffhanger. Jared and Layla had a messy and complicated past and it's not at all surprising that their path forward was also messy and complicated. I love books that can surprise me, and there were definitely twists here that I didn't see coming. I did feel like we needed a bit more with the cast of secondary characters we had spent so much time with in Deceive Me, but made only small appearances in Save Me. However, I loved the intrigue and mystery in this story and everything about Jared and Layla and their relationship. Can't wait to read whatever Vi Carter has coming out next!

These two books took me by surprise especially the ending. Jared and Layla story started when they were kids both in the same foster family. Jared always looked out for Layla during this time period and she need him. They had a special bond. Something happens and Layla is taking away. Both of them are separated, Jared father finds him and takes he home. Layla ends up living with a sweet couple who couldn’t have kids. Her new parents love her and help her get thru all the trauma she went through as a kid. I do like a happy ending. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Jarod and Layla have more things to overcome in book two of this duet and if you have read the first book you know it ended in a bang of a cliffhanger and you wonder what next. Secrets finally come out and two people will fight for there lives in different ways and true evil will have its day is it vengeance or justice. Jared has gotten involved with some shady characters all in the name of vengeance its lead danger to the only person he loves Layla. Layla is being lied to by many people can she save Jarod before he dose something bad or should Layla just run away when she finds out just how obsessed Jarod is with her. So this book dose have some darker themes ones that I thought might be revealed and they were all loose ends get tied up and one secret I was kinda surprised about Jarod and Layla finally take there relationship to the next level. I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.
