A fantastic read about the ruler Cleopatra and what happens to her children as they are torn from their home and sent to live with the one responsible for their suffering. Through the eyes of Cleopatra's daughter, we get a glimpse of life in Egypt and Rome for a royal turned prisoner. Cleopatra Selene searches to make sense of all she has lost while deciding what she must do and what she believes. You feel her heart leap with love and break with loss. You cannot help but hope that her fate and faith will bring her a love story as great as her mother's, as well as freedom and a place to call home. — D. Emory, Nashville, TN
