Struggling to read this book. The main character has really gotten "me me me" apparently she calls the shots now. Apparently is HER army now. The amount of times she goes on and on and on about herself is so painful. She really narcissistic and her thoughts on Cal change from one thing to the next in a single thought and then do it all again over and over. Really don't think I'll bother wasting more time.

I struggled getting through this second book in the series, it felt like I had to convince myself to keep reading. The story just didn't feel a immersive and it felt a bit bland. Hopefully this is just because it's the second book and it's only upwards from here as I did enjoy the first.

I don't know the main character has started to get selfish. It's like she turned antagonistic. Letting people die in order to save herself. Nahh, I'm good.
