About this ebook

When Francis Wayland Thurston inherited his uncle's personal papers, he discovered a chilling mystery in one of the files. His uncle had interviewed several people around the world who were having strange dreams of a dark city. A voice called to each of them--called them to Cthulhu! This haunting tale is now a striking graphic novel adaptation. Aligned to Common Core Standards and correlated to state standards. Graphic Planet is an imprint of Magic Wagon, a division of ABDO.

I expected a lot more than a 28 page summary. Besides the first few pages, it failed to capture the atmosphere that the book has and the artist made the fatal mistake of illustrating cthulhu and the artifacts. Lovecraft invented the technique of scaring people with their own imaginations and he did so by only providing the basic details and adjectives to lead the reader into expecting worse than they can imagine. Obviously drawing a cartoon monster won't produce this effect
