About this ebook

Desperate to make her debut in society before another claims the affection of the man she loves, Daisy Gerard finds herself unexpectedly captivated by the enigmatic Lord Ashford.

Daisy Gerard, spirited and unabashedly outspoken, had no intention of spending her time with the sophisticated mother of her country neighbor, the elusive Lord Ashford. Her goal was to enjoy her season and win over the man who had once vowed to marry her.

But then Daisy finds herself falling for the irksome Ash, drawn to a man who listens to every unfiltered thought she shares, understanding her in ways she hadn't anticipated.

Tasked with the guardianship of two young orphans, Ash has his hands full, leaving little room for Daisy's disruptive presence in his life. Yet, Daisy's knack for embracing life's absurdities and her adeptness at resolving dilemmas for others—though rarely for herself—brings an unexpected harmony to his world.

Can Ash win her heart before it's claimed by another?

The second story in the Spring of Love, this is a new Author to me. I loved the cover even though I am not a fan of pink, it made the cover stand out. Daisy Gerard and Lord Ashford/Ash's story is well written with a very good storyline, both of them have things to overcome. I enjoyed seeing them get their happy ending with the ups and downs they went through. I would like to read the next story. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Daisy and Ashford are like oil and water initially, but they soon find themselves in love through no more than being themselves. No shy glances or sweet words meant to beguile. Rather her snarky banter and his genuine goodness won them each over. A slow burn romance in a series I am thoroughly enjoying with two likeable main characters and a host of wonderful extras. This story was a lot of fun to read. The back and forth between the main male character and the main female character was fun to read. Then there was the addition of two little girls one who did all the talking and one who hardly talked, plus the dowager mother who wasn't that old and who I hope will have a story where she finds a new love. There is also sibling rivalry and possible attraction to the same man. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
